Sheila Murty, Executive Vice President, People & Culture

Sheila Murty joined the Tillamook County Creamery Association in 2018 as executive vice president of people and culture, where she is leading a clear culture vision for an inclusive and enriching culture, strategies to achieve Tillamook’s vision for a culture grounded in values, and all aspects of building a responsive and strategic HR function.

Sheila came to TCCA with more than 15 years of experience in strategic human resources and operational leadership experience. Prior to joining Tillamook, Sheila served on the executive team at The Oregon Community Foundation as the vice president of operations where she led people & culture, technology, diversity and facilities administration for the $1.9B community foundation. Previously, Sheila was in a senior HR leadership role at Legacy Health, leading centers of excellence in talent acquisition, compensation, human resources information systems (HRIS) and diversity for one of Oregon’s largest private employers with multiple locations and with over 11,000 employees. She provided strategic human resources support to the organization for a broad range of strategies including doubling employee growth, adding new service lines, building new hospitals, acquiring other entities and leading system implementations. She also served as Legacy’s diversity officer and was instrumental in building their diversity strategy.

Sheila was born and raised in Malaysia. She moved to Oregon as a college student, and since then has made it her home. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Oregon Health Sciences University and a master’s in business administration from Portland State University. In her free time, Sheila and her husband enjoy time with their three children, enjoying life, food and friendships in Oregon, and traveling near and far.
